Board Member
Ms Godongwana obtained her Bachelor of Science degree at the University of Fort Hare, where she also completed a Higher Diploma in Education. She secured a Bachelor of Education degree via UNISA as well as a Business Management Diploma at Damelin. Ms Godongwana is currently completing her Master of Management (Finance and Investment) degree at Wits University.
A well-rounded Business Executive, Ms Godongwana has a sound academic background, extensive business acumen and Human Resources Management experience, and has a firm understanding of corporate governance โ having been exposed to many industrial and commercial sectors at both Board and management levels. She has experience in designing Human Resource (HR) strategies and has served as a Board member to determine the effectiveness of HR strategies proposed by management (including the various aspects of performance management systems).
Ms Godongwana provides leadership in her role as Director of Ikhwezi Neuro Clinic, New Invest 119 (Pty) Ltd, Foxtech-Ikhwezi Manufacturing, the NBI Advisory Board, Closure and Rehab Solutions, Ditulo Furnishers, and the Pan African Benefits Services.
She is Chairperson of the Cross- Med Health Centre, and a Board Member of Mayibuy Transport Corporation (serving on the Audit and Risk, and Remuneration committees). She has also successfully served at the National Fire and Security Department. In addition, Ms Godongwana is a member of the Institute of Directors South Africa (IoDSA).
Ms Godongwana is the Board Chair of the Premier Hotel OR Tambo International and serves on committees for the South African National Biodiversity Institute, the Tourism B-BBEE Council, the South African Fishing Empowerment Corporation, and the Buffalo City Municipality Development Agency.
